Capezzana
appears on the hills of Carmignano, like a balcony
that overlooks the Florence-Pistoia plain, well above
the winter fogs, behind the steep slopes of Montalbano
which separate it from Vinci. After the hairpin bend
lined with cypress trees, through an arcade, you enter
the foyerm where four marble Atlandts guard the front
of the Villa. All around are the buildings of the
court and

underneath
them are the wine cellars. The other side, simple
and harmonious, overlooks the rose garden and the
terrace which looks other the valley and the Carmignano
hills. Near the Villa there is the beautiful 12th
century Romanesque oratory of S.Jacopo. The wine that
belongs to these lands have been known for many years.
