Coming from motorway: exit "Lucca"
(est or ovest in the same). Follow the indication for: Garfagnana,
Castelnuovo Garfagnana, Barga.
Get out from Lucca following the
direction above taking the road SS12.
Leave the SS12 after 6.5 km (there is a big crossroad) turn
left following the directions Garfagnana, Castelnuovo Garfagnana,
Barga (on the road SP 445).
Cross the bridge just turned left
and then turn right. From this moment the river remain on your
right for about 20 kms /during the road you will find this village:
Sesto di Moriano, Diecimo,
Borgo a Mozzano whit the famous Devil
Bridge).
When you will find another bridge
on your right (with many indications Barga, Ghivizzano, Calavorno
etc.), take that, cross it and then turn left.
Now you will find the village
"Calavorno", cross the railway and after 100 mt you
will find, on your right, a narrow road, take that for 3 km.
After 3 km you find the indications
for "Il Podere in Farneta".
As you know we are in the middle of the park in full country,
the roads are narrows and for this I suggest small cars. Also
medium cars are possible. Absolutely to avoid sport
and big cars. Of course road-vehicle are possible.
