Casa Murella is a beautiful Tuscany
stone farm house, recently restored
in the taste of those who love to preserve the original
flavor of old country houses, though unwilling to
give up modern conveniences: the bathrooms, kitchen,
and electrical and heating systems have been totally
rennovated while the terracotta floors,
wood beams in the ceilings and antique
archways have been kept, restoring when necessary,
or simply cleaning them. Appropriate, not elaborate,
furnishings matching the ambiance have contributed
in turning the house into an ideal place for vacationers
with all the components necessary for a stay in the
country. In front of the house there is a wonderful
natural and equipped lawn
from which a wide-ranging, beautiful view is enjoyed
over the countryside, including a view of the sea
in the distance on particularly clear days. Another
interesting feature is the proximity of the Terme
di Saturnia (2,5 km) with its sulphur
waters, indicated in skincare;
treatments can be done by taking advantage of the
famous and efficient thermal centre, or at the tubs
with natural waterfalls for public use free of charge
that are found near the centre itself. There are shops
for basic necessities located about 800 m away, 7
km the characteristic village of Saturnia (all kinds
of shops, pleasant restaurants), 20 km Sovana,
28 km Pitigliano, approx. 45 km from
the sandy beaches of the Giannella, beginning of the
Argentario with important touristic resorts such as
Porto Ercole, approx. 60 km the famous Parco dell’Uccellina.
Beautiful, wide-ranging view. Peaceful position. Access
to the house by approx. 1,8 km of unpaved, slightly
uphill road. One wing of the house is closed and uninhabited
during the guests’ stay. Parking.
