Villa La Badia - Profile

Tuscany accommodation self catering Tuscany Villa near Florence

Villa Badia is a brief distance from the charming historical center of Loro Ciuffena, originally a medieval hamlet, which lies perched on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountains, looking out over the Arno Valley. One reaches Villa Badia by the Seven Bridges or "Setteponti" road, first used by the Etruscans and later traversed by pilgrims on their

way to the Sanctuary of Compostela. This ancient path continues to offer scenic landscapes of rare beauty dotted with many artistic and cultural treasures such as the Romanesque church of S. Pietro a Gropina, one of the more important landmarks of the area.
