is in the centre of Tuscany between Florence
and Pisa and is in a perfect position for touring.
Empoli is connected to Florence, Siena, Pisa and Versilia
by a reliable and frequent train service. Florence and Pisa
airport are only a short ride away.
Florence is a 25 min drive but it is better to leave your
car at the station and get the train to avoid parking stress.The
train ride goes along the river Arno and there are some beautiful
views of little hilltop towns.The train goes right into Florence
centre and takes 25mins. From Florence station it is a five
minute walk to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. The train costs
5 EURO return. Siena and San Gimnagno are lovely drives across
a breath taking landscape (Siena 1 hour, San Giminagno 40
mins)
